Aram started his career with brief seagoing experience followed by years of marine claims surveying and loss prevention. With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, he has gone on to become a internationally recognized market leading underwriter in Marine Builders Risks at a large Marine insurer, also heading up loss prevention services.
When he is not meeting clients and brokers around the world, Aram enjoys spending his spare time running and playing music.

Head of M&A
Oliver Lyon is Head of M&A for DUAL Benelux. He joined in June 2023 to set up DUAL Europe’s warranty and indemnity underwriting business in the Benelux. Oliver spent over 10 years of his career as a Corporate M&A lawyer, training and qualifying at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London before working in London and Moscow. He moved to Allen & Overy in Amsterdam in 2018 before moving to Howden M&A in 2021 as a broker.
In his spare time, Oliver enjoys spending time with his son, travelling, running marathons, reading and writing/recording music.

Lead Cyber Underwriter
Kim Martins Neto is the lead Cyber Underwriter for DUAL Benelux. She started her career in insurance as a broker and later on joined Chubb as a financial claims adjuster. Since 2018, her focus has been on cyber underwriting.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys travelling, going out for food and spending time with friends and family.

Lead Underwriter Professional Indemnity
Since joining in 2023, Marnix de Kievit has been the Lead Professional Indemnity Underwriter for DUAL Benelux. Located in the city Centre of Rotterdam, Marnix utilises his broad knowledge of the market, products and capacities to provide specialist Professional Indemnity solutions to medium and large businesses. Marnix has over fifteen years of experience in the industry; seven years with a Professional Indemnity broker, four years with AIG, and five years with Liberty.
Outside of work, Marnix likes to play and watch football and travels around the world to gather unique and rare beers.

Head of Operations
Nando joined DUAL in November 2023 as the Head of Operations and is responsible for setting up the operations department. He previously worked in multiple industries before starting his career in insurance at Markel as an Information Manager. Nando is experienced in digital transformation and uses this knowledge to set a high standard of service for our brokers.
In his spare time Nando is involved in local politics as a city councillor and likes to visit the movie theatre and workout in the gym.

Annet joined Dual Europe in April 2023 as Head of Surety Europe. She is based in The Netherlands which serves as the central hub for surety operations in Europe. The hub is responsible for defining and disseminating guidelines, underwriting tools, and delegation of authorities. With over two decades of experience in the surety industry, Annet has served in various capacities as a surety underwriter and reinsurance underwriter. In her previous role, she held the position of Head of Surety Europe at a credit insurance company. She has an MBA degree in Change Management.

Jodrik ter Haar is an Underwriting Assistant in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Having worked in various roles in marine insurance with his previous employer MS Amlin for over 20 years, he decided a change was required and to make the transition to the DUAL Rotterdam team per the 1st of October 2023.
Outside working hours Jodrik enjoys playing football, motorcycle riding, running and learning to play the piano.

Pim de Pooter is Lead Underwriter Hull located in The Netherlands, Rotterdam. He joined in September 2023 to set up DUAL Europe’s Marine hub together with Aram Stoop. Pim has spent over 13 years of his career as a marine underwriter, starting in 2010 at Dutch Marine Insurance before moving to MS Amlin in 2015.
In his spare time, Pim enjoys spending time with his daughter and his hobbies are sports (running, swimming, gym).

Femke Nollet is Claims Lead Marine located in the Netherlands, Rotterdam. She joined December 2023 to set up the claims department. Femke has spent over 20 years of her career as a claims handler. The adventure started at Reaal Verzekeringen before she joined MS Amlin and RSA. The last 3 years Femke was a broker at Anchor Insurance.
In her spare time, Femke enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding her motorcycle, practicing yoga and going out for a run.

Imke Swierstra is the Lead Underwriter Engineering & Construction for DUAL Benelux. He started his career in real estate development, but since 2012 he is active in the insurance industry. He joined Woningborg as a surety underwriter, specialized in construction. Later on, he held the position of Specialist Underwriter Engineering at Allianz for a few years.

John has been a dedicated member of the DUAL team since 2021. Prior to joining DUAL, John spent 14 years at Swiss Re, where he honed his expertise in the insurance industry.
Currently, John is spearheading the introduction of DUAL's CPI Insurance and Product Recall Insurance products to the European market, with an initial focus on the Benelux region. This initiative has brought John to the Netherlands, following a successful tenure in New York.
